The Aztecs Migrated to central Mexico around the late 13th century and dominated the region for the Next 300 years. Aztez’s mythology was heavily influenced by the mythology of earlier civilizations of the region, such as the Olmecs and the Toltecs.

The Aztecs practised polytheism and believed in the complete control of the gods over the affairs of men. Human life was small and insignificant, and an individual’s fate was beyond his control. Human Sacrifices were not uncommon as they believed the blood of humans sustained the supreme gods.
